Jaipur Child Development Program
CECOEDECON is working in partnership with ChildFund India on project Jaipur Child Development Project at 20 villages in Sambhar Lake block of Jaipur district & 13 villages of Tijara & Kotkasim blocks of Alwar district of Rajasthan.
The focus of project intervention to promote the development potential of a child by working on all aspects of his/her development using a holistic Life cycle based approach. The project currently works with 700 enrolled sponsored children while also engaging with parents, caregivers, Panchayti Raj Institution members, youth groups, government officials and other stakeholders involved in shaping child’s life. The project intervention have been designed under four thematic areas:
1. Health
2. Livelihood
3. Education
4. Child Protection
By involving sponsors in contribution to the development of vulnerable children the project also works on creating relationships and communications transcending geographical boundaries.
The project interventions are aligned with age-specific and contextual needs, utilizing a unique Life Stage approach based on children’s experiences of deprivation, exclusion, and vulnerability:
● Life Stage 1: Maternal Health and Early Child Development (ages 0-5)
● Life Stage 2: Childhood and Adolescence (ages 6-14)
● Life Stage 3: Youth/Young Adults (age 15-24)
Gender equality and humanitarian relief work are also key focus areas that cross-cut programming across all Life Stages.
